Instructor Candidate Requirements
Course Descriptions and Class Schedule
General Requirements for All Course Authorizations
Prerequisite Training: Training must be taken from an ESRI instructor within 12 months of the application date. If courses have been updated within the last 12 months due to new software releases, you may be required to complete additional "gap training" at your own expense. It is highly recommended that you obtain prequalification approval before paying (though not necessarily before registering) for the prerequisite training. Training taken from an ATP instructor does not qualify.
Prequalification Questionnaire: All authorizations begin with the submission of a prequalification questionnaire. Questionnaires will only be accepted from ESRI regions that are currently accepting them. Prequalification can be approved or denied. It is highly recommended that you obtain prequalification approval before paying (though not necessarily before registering) for the prerequisite training.
Instructor Performance Evaluation (IPE): All candidates must undergo an instructor performance evaluation with the regional office; presentation skills and the ability to teach are as important as software knowledge.
Regional Office Approval: All candidates must have the approval of the ESRI regional office.
