Authorized Instructors
Who May ApplyThe Authorized Training Program is open to residents of the United States or U.S. territories including overseas military bases in U.S. territories. ATP is looking for candidates who have at least one year and 200 hours of software experience as well as practical application or project experience with the software they would like to teach. Successful candidates have working knowledge of the software, have an ability to communicate geographic concepts, and can provide examples of how the software would be applied in real-world situations. The second fee is the authorization fee, which includes application processing and agreement execution. Please refer to Instructor Candidate Requirements for specific fee information. Authorization versus CertificationESRI does not have a program that "certifies" a person's proficiency or competency at this time. Therefore, ESRI does not have the authority to grant "certifications" to individuals or facilities, and we are not permitted to use the term "certified." The ATP does authorize our instructors to use ESRI course materials.
