Join us for a forum led by Kevin Case, President and CEO of Mohonk Preserve. This preserve is New York State's largest non-profit nature preserve and was founded by the Smiley family in 1963—the same Smiley family who were so instrumental in the founding and development of Redlands. Come learn about the founding and history of the Preserve and how it has become one of New York's leading conservation organizations. Located in the Hudson Valley, 90 miles north of New York City, the Preserve protects 8,000 acres of open space and welcomes 300,000 visitors annually. With daily weather data going back over 120 years, world-class rock climbing, a historic carriage road system, and a robust environmental education program, the Smileys' legacy endures and thrives through Mohonk Preserve to this day.
