Online Proctored exams, offered by Pearson VUE, is a new flexible delivery model for Esri Technical Certification. It allows you to take an exam securely from your office or home work space and eliminates the need to travel to a physical test center. Testing online offers the convenience of less (or no) travel time, and it can reduce test-taking anxieties by allowing you to work from a comfortable, familiar space.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Esri Technical Certification is an industry benchmark that validates ArcGIS skills and experience. Technical certification is focused on specific knowledge that is verified by an exam. Having a certification makes an individual more attractive to prospective employers by verifying geospatial and software skill sets.<\/p>\r\n

The experience of taking an Online Proctored exam will be very similar to taking an exam at a Pearson VUE test center. You schedule your exam through Pearson VUE and take the exam by appointment at a specific time, just as you would offline. A proctor checks you in and verifies your identification. During the exam, a proctor will monitor the test-taking process. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

The only difference is that everything is done online. You will need to run an exam simulation to get familiar with the online testing environment and verify that your system meets the requirements. You must have access to a webcam and a private work space where you can take the exam. The work space should be free of distractions, notes, and any exam preparation materials. The proctor will use the webcam to visually scan your space before the exam starts.<\/p>\r\n

Once you verify that your system meets the requirements, you can schedule a date and time for your exam on the Pearson VUE website and create a Pearson VUE login if you don\u2019t already have one. In some cases, a same-day appointment may be available.<\/p>\r\n

On test day, you\u2019ll log in to Pearson VUE, select your exam, and proceed through the self-check-in process, then wait in the lobby for a proctor to connect with you. Once connected, your proctor will guide you through the process and launch your exam.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
