And this is a whole lot simpler and easier when you couple <a href=\"http:\/\/www.esri.com\/what-is-gis\">GIS<\/a> technology with real-world experience.<\/p>\n<p>Shawn Hanna, Managing Partner of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.retailscientifics.com\/\">Retail Scientifics<\/a>, knows this well. They opened up a consultancy that performs analytics projects for retailers broadly. The group focuses on modeling, forecasting accuracy, ad hoc analytics, and other data driven projects.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5002\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5002\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-5002\" src=\"http:\/\/www.esri.com\/about\/newsroom\/app\/uploads\/files\/2015\/05\/ESRI_PathToExpansion-2B_051115-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5002\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Retail Scientifics took their expertise performing advanced analytics at one of the countries\u2019 leading retailers and is helping others do the same by harnessing the power of ArcGIS.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Shawn describes his company as a \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Data_science\">data science<\/a> firm\u2019\u2014helping companies model their businesses behind the scenes to increase their forecasting accuracy, improve ad hoc analytics, and provide guidance for data driven projects.  Along the way, they\u2019ve gained great national clients interested in improving their retail and real estate functions including Petco, Savers, Sports Authority, Boot Barn, Garden Fresh Restaurants, and Resort Lifestyle Communities. This is doubly impressive considering the company is only into their second year of operation.<\/p>\n<h3>What\u2019s behind the curtain of success?<\/h3>\n<p>What are the secrets of these modern day data scientists? They are huge advocates of the Esri platform. Shawn attributes his and his clients\u2019 success to the functionality, flexibility, speed, and power of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.esri.com\/software\/arcgis\">ArcGIS<\/a>.
