Agency FedRAMP Authorization & Security Guidance

On September 4th, the US Census Bureau granted Esri Managed Cloud Services (EMCS) an Agency FedRAMP Authority to Operation (ATO) at the moderate level.  Esri first introduced the FedRAMP moderate compliant offering EMCS Advanced Plus at the beginning of 2015.  This offering is already used by government, commercial, and even large non-profit organizations to quickly establish secure ArcGIS Server and Portal deployments in the cloud.

EMCS was one of the first cloud deployments to be compliant with the latest cloud security controls from the U.S. government (FedRAMP Rev. 4), and now is the first cloud offering to transition from CSP Supplied Package status to Agency FedRAMP Authorization.

Providing continuous security advancements in conjunction with our customers is critical to the success of Web GIS.  We look forward to providing our customers additional guidance for utilizing our products in security hardened environments in a standardized manner based on this real-world hosting experience.  This guidance will be disseminated via guides, presentations, and even the Security Architecture workshops we offer.
