In Living Atlas, there are over 100 maps detailing demographic, socioeconomic, and behavioral topics in the United States<\/a> and Canada<\/a>. These maps provide a current snapshot-in-time, from the State and Province levels down to neighborhood levels. As new data and maps are released, older data and maps are removed from Living Atlas and eventually retired.<\/p>\n

In December, we will be retiring the 2016 U.S. Demographic<\/a> and the\u00a02016 Canada Demographic<\/a> map services and associated items. If you have maps or apps that are using these items in ArcGIS Online and\/or ArcGIS Enterprise, you should replace them with supported items as soon as possible. The 2016 items will be unavailable once retired.<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"sidebar","content":"

Note for ArcGIS Enterprise Users<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.5.1 to ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1, you may see these 2016 demographic items in searches throughout your Enterprise portal. However, please note that, once retired, the underlying data will be inaccessible, and the layer will be broken. Therefore, be sure to replace these 2016 items with their newer replacements before the end of 2020. Because of these improvements, we want to make sure you are always working with the latest available data from Esri.<\/p>\n

There are a few ways to help make you aware of the latest data:<\/p>\n

  1. Mature Support items have been marked as\u00a0Deprecated<\/em>.<\/li>\n
  2. We include an\u00a0Important Note <\/em>in the description of each item moving into mature support.<\/li>\n
  3. We include a link to the latest available, comparable item (where available).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
