In addition, tools deployed through the add-in toolbar are now also packaged in a new Crime Analysis Add-In toolbox. This uncertainty makes it difficult to time proactive patrols or interventions aimed at a suspected serial offender. The new\u00a0<a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/doc.arcgis.com\/en\/arcgis-solutions\/latest\/reference\/analyze-a-crime-series.htm\" data-href=\"https:\/\/doc.arcgis.com\/en\/arcgis-solutions\/latest\/reference\/analyze-a-crime-series.htm\">Aoristic Analysis<\/a> geoprocessing tool addresses this by taking a layer of related incidents with known &#8220;occur from&#8221; and &#8220;occur to&#8221; times, spreading an equal probability of occurrence across every hour in each incident&#8217;s time range, and summing those probabilities across the entire set of incidents. The new\u00a0<a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/doc.arcgis.com\/en\/arcgis-solutions\/latest\/reference\/perform-administrative-analysis.htm\" data-href=\"https:\/\/doc.arcgis.com\/en\/arcgis-solutions\/latest\/reference\/perform-administrative-analysis.htm\">Weighted Displacement Difference<\/a>\u00a0tool implements the WDD statistical test developed by Wheeler and Ratcliffe (2018) to compare incident counts in a response area, before and during an intervention, against a comparable control area. At the same time, the tool checks a surrounding buffer for signs that crime was simply displaced rather than reduced. These task items contain 25 step-by-step workflows covering the crime analysis functions agencies rely on most, from identifying hot streets and repeat problem locations using 80\/20 analysis, to finding overlapping density hot spots, cell phone record mapping, address anonymization, optimizing placement of cameras and drone docks, and much more.
