Starting with\u00a0ArcGIS Online\u00a09.1 and now in the freshly released\u00a0ArcGIS Enterprise\u00a010.9.1,\u00a0ArcGIS Earth\u00a0configuration files can be uploaded and hosted as\u00a0.xml\u00a0files. In the newest release of\u00a0ArcGIS Earth, users have the ability to share local configuration files with their organization as .XML files directly through the\u00a0ArcGIS Earth\u00a0Configuration Manager. Maps, address locators, and routing networks can be compiled to individual mobile map packages\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/2.9\/tool-reference\/data-management\/create-mobile-map-package.htm#GUID-213F93B8-FA94-4183-83A3-CFE68A504A13\">using\u00a0ArcGIS Pro<\/a>\u00a0and can be used across the ArcGIS platform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Processing templates<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Image rendering capabilities have greatly improved by providing server-side processing templates associated with image services for on-the-fly rendering and powerful visual analysis. If processing templates <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/analysis\/raster-functions\/processing-template-manager.htm\">have been added to rasters<\/a>, a preview thumbnail and information about the name, description, and help will be displayed for each processing template. Available processing templates and options can be accessed through the image properties menu. This function is easily enabled by pressing the ALT key while clicking the mouse when creating lines or polygons using the draw tool in ArcGIS Earth.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Enhancements<\/h1>\n<p>The following enhancements have been added:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Customize layer icons in the table of contents<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Layer icons in the table of contents can now be customized per layer\/folder type, and per layer.\u00a0Per layer customization can easily be performed by hovering over the layer icon and clicking the edit button pop up, while customization of the layer\/folder type icons is managed with the new icon_config.json file. Detailed information on customizing layer icons in the table of contents can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/doc.arcgis.com\/en\/arcgis-earth\/use\/set-layer-properties.htm\">ArcGIS Earth Resources Page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Pop-up resize<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>A new parameter has been added to the ArcGIS Earth\u00a0configuration file which allows for customization to how pop-ups display in ArcGIS Earth. \u00a0Pop-up size mode can be switched from\u00a0<strong>Fixed<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>Auto Resizing<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0configuration file. When the pop-up size is in\u00a0<strong>Fixed<\/strong>\u00a0mode, pop-up\u00a0<strong>width<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>height<\/strong>\u00a0can be preconfigured and applied for all pop-up windows. When the mode is switched to\u00a0<strong>Auto Resizing<\/strong>, the pop-up size becomes automatically adjusted based on the pop-up content.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Support overall KML layer transparency<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The KML layer transparency can now be adjusted in the KML layer\u00a0<strong>Properties<\/strong>\u00a0panel at the parent node. The transparency setting will take effect for the entire KML layer, including all the child nodes of the KML layer.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Elevation exaggeration<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The elevation exaggeration tool has been redesigned with the maximum value increased to 100 on the scale bar. This update allows for the creation of dramatic global visualizations and enhanced terrain analysis. The maximum value of exaggeration can be configured to 1000 in the\u00a0ArcGIS Earth\u00a0configuration file if needed.<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<h3><strong>Sign in using a browser<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The ability to sign in using a browser is now available as an option for signing into\u00a0ArcGIS Online\u00a0or\u00a0ArcGIS Enterprise\u00a0portal. Browser sign in can be set as the default option for sign in.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Block new portal connections<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>A new administrator parameter,\u00a0disableAddPortal, has been added in the\u00a0ArcGIS Earth\u00a0configuration file to allow for disabling ArcGIS Online\u00a0or\u00a0ArcGIS Enterprise\u00a0portal connections in\u00a0<strong>Portal Manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To learn more about ArcGIS Earth, visit our\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/en-us\/arcgis\/products\/arcgis-earth\/overview\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">website<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.
