Below is a quick overview of some highlights in the\u202f11.0 release.<\/p>\n General updates:<\/p>\n Connectors\u202f:<\/p>\n Spatiotemporal data store:<\/p>\n Now, let\u2019s take a deeper dive into each of these exciting new enhancements!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n An important update at the 11.0 release is around upgrading from a previous version to ArcGIS GeoEvent Server\u202f11.0. Essentially, your existing GeoEvent Server configurations are not automatically upgraded like in previous releases. For example, if you’re upgrading from GeoEvent Server 10.9.1 to 11.0, you will have to manually export the configuration prior to upgrading. Once upgraded, you can import the configuration and your elements, settings, and more will be available to you. To learn more about <\/span>backing up and restoring <\/span>a <\/span>GeoEvent<\/span> Server\u202fconfiguration<\/span>, see\u202f<\/span>Backup and restore your GeoEvent Server site configuration<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n With this release, several<\/span> performance and usability enhancements s<\/span>ignificantly improve performance when discovering<\/span> and working with <\/span>feature services in your\u202fArcGIS Server,\u202fArcGIS Enterprise, and\u202fArcGIS Online\u202fregistered data stores.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In addition, <\/span>GeoEvent<\/span> Manager <\/span>saw improvements to its <\/span>performance and <\/span>overall <\/span>load ti<\/span>mes, allowing you to <\/span>access <\/span>GeoEvent<\/span> Manager <\/span>more <\/span>quickly<\/span> to work <\/span>with your inputs, outputs, <\/span>GeoEvent<\/span> Services, data stores, and more<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Another nice e<\/span>nhancement<\/span> is that <\/span>you can now leverage authorized service layers shared from other users in your organization.<\/span> This allows you to <\/span>use these layers, assuming <\/span>your <\/span>server connection holds authentication credentials, to access shared content items via their service URL<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n And lastly, a new user experience <\/span>provides <\/span>more <\/span>f<\/span>lexibility and control when working with your <\/span>GeoEvent<\/span> Server\u202fconfiguration including a readable, file-based configuration store that <\/span>allows for<\/span> network installation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n With this release, the Kafka input connectors, including the <\/span>Subscribe to a Kafka Topic for GeoJSON<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0 <\/span>Subscribe to a Kafka Topic for JSON<\/span><\/a>, and the <\/span>Subscribe to a Kafka Topic for Text<\/span><\/a>, now support connecting to Kafka clusters that are secured with SASL\/SCRAM. This extends the authentication options available for connecting to your secured Kafka clusters.<\/span><\/p>\n In addition, the Generic JSON and GeoJSON inbound adapters better handle null lists, arrays of strings as multi-cardinal values, and arrays of strings.<\/span><\/p>\n At this release, the <\/span><\/span>spatiotemporal data store<\/span><\/span><\/a> page in <\/span>GeoEvent<\/span> Manager has been enhanced to make discovering and loading your data sources and services m<\/span>uch faster<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n For a complete list of enhancements with more details, check out the\u202f<\/span>What\u2019s new<\/span><\/a>\u202ftopic in the documentation.
