We have many exciting new development initiatives underway for the November release<\/strong> of ArcGIS Field Maps. We’ve updated the iOS\/Android mobile apps and web app to expose some of the new capabilities coming late this fall.<\/p>\n

Geofencing<\/h1>\n

Field Maps now supports adding geofences<\/strong> to your maps so that mobile users can be warned when entering dangerous or restricted areas, provided critical information when approaching a building, tracked only when on company property, and more.<\/p>\n

First released in June 2022<\/a>. Pop-up Elements<\/h1>\n

When mobile workers view information about features on the map, they are viewing the pop-up<\/strong> you created for that feature.\u00a0When creating your map, it’s important to configure the pop-up of a layer with the information mobile workers need to discover.<\/p>\n

With the November release of ArcGIS Field Maps, we’re adding support for pop-up elements authored in the new Map Viewer<\/a>. IPS and indoor editing<\/h1>\n

ArcGIS Field Maps works great indoors as well as outdoors! Following our initial integration of a floor filter and ArcGIS IPS, we are continuing to add additional indoor capabilities.<\/p>\n

With the fall release of ArcGIS Field Maps, we are making changes to the GPS banner to better support IPS locations by presenting quality information<\/strong> directly in the banner and details such as the source type, floor and transmitters in the location details panel.<\/p>\n

Field Maps will automatically set the floor information<\/strong> when collecting a new feature with floor-aware layers too! When mobile workers start a new collection, the floor attribute will contain information about their current floor.
