Similar to feature classes and tables, they are owned by the user that is connected when they are created. While any user can create or assign domains to their own datasets, only the owner of a domain can edit the domain properties. This also required that the domain had to be unassigned from any dataset that was using it prior to being deleted. This was a very involved process for the data owners and administrators of the geodatabase.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"TextRun SCXW123927763 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW123927763 BCX0\">New at ArcGIS Pro 3.0<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW154624261 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW154624261 BCX0\">With the<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW154624261 BCX0\"> ArcGIS Pro 3.0 release, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW154624261 BCX0\">users can now transfer the ownership of enterprise geodatabase domains without having to delete and recreate the domain<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW154624261 BCX0\"> as the new user<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW154624261 BCX0\">. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW154624261 BCX0\">This can be done <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW154624261 If the geodatabase administrator experiences trouble updating the owner for the domain, the Domain Usage pane can be used to review the datasets that the domain is assigned to.
