Use the app to quickly explore and share oriented imagery catalogs.<\/p>\n<p>The Oriented Imagery Explorer has a slick new look and upgraded functionality, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ability to add multiple oriented imagery catalogs to the app and toggle between them in the viewer<\/li>\n<li>2D and 3D modes in a single app (switch between them using a URL parameter)<\/li>\n<li>A new Bookmarks widget (activated if there are bookmarks in the web map or slides in the web scene)<\/li>\n<li>A docked-by-default Oriented Imagery viewer, with the option to float the viewer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arcgis.com\/apps\/MinimalGallery\/index.html?appid=b4fadaa5ca584f17aeebf51b0e271cd0\">Oriented Imagery Sample Apps gallery<\/a> to see examples of web apps created using both the Oriented Imagery Explorer app and the Oriented Imagery Experience Builder widget.<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"sidebar","content":"<h2>How to use the Oriented Imagery Explorer<\/h2>\n<p>If you want to share the Oriented Imagery Explorer app with your data pre-loaded, you can edit the URL to include your oriented imagery catalog and web map or web scene.<\/p>\n<p>The default URL is <a href=\"https:\/\/oi1.img.arcgis.com\/app1\/index.html\">https:\/\/oi1.img.arcgis.com\/app1\/index.html<\/a>, which you can use to access a variety of sample oriented imagery catalogs or load your own from ArcGIS Online.<\/p>\n<p>If you append ?type=3D (<a href=\"https:\/\/oi1.img.arcgis.com\/app1\/index.html?type=3D\">https:\/\/oi1.img.arcgis.com\/app1\/index.html?type=3D<\/a>), you can access the same samples in the context of a 3D scene.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, you can append specific oriented imagery catalogs, web maps, and web scenes using their item IDs. Download the latest versions of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arcgis.com\/home\/item.html?id=19b5028e59c141239d0a262117639f81\">ArcGIS Pro add-in<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arcgis.com\/home\/item.html?id=36ee0bbedca64a5a8b68d7c69ab51728\">Management Tools<\/a> to take advantage of the changes.<\/p>\n<p>In the Management tools:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019ve added support for Google Photo Spheres<\/li>\n<li>Nadir images for oriented imagery catalogs created from mosaic datasets are now north corrected<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve made our reading of XMP tags more robust<\/li>\n<li>The Create Reference OIC tool now generates a valid service URL<\/li>\n<li>The Calculate Station ID field in the Exposures attribute table has been corrected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We\u2019ve also made some changes to the Oriented Imagery API that will affect the Oriented Imagery viewer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Oriented Imagery viewer now supports large images<\/li>\n<li>A heading of -999 will no longer cause an error<\/li>\n<li>For customers using a Postgres database, the image will now display in the viewer if an exposure point is selected on the map<\/li>\n<li>Depth images are now rendered properly when the depth image icon is selected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Finally, some users encountered an issue with the Oriented Imagery Experience Builder widget where a docked widget would toggle scroll bars on and off repeatedly; that bug has been fixed.<\/p>\n<h1>What\u2019s next\u2014integrating Oriented Imagery into ArcGIS<\/h1>\n<p>A long time in the making, we\u2019re in the process of integrating Oriented Imagery into ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro!
