Invalid subnetwork status<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n
Another consistent piece of feedback we\u2019ve received from customers are requests for the ability<\/span> to differentiate between subnetworks that are dirty and need to be updated as opposed to a subnetwork that failed to update and remains dirty. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
To address this, in ArcGIS Pro 3.1 we have implemented a new \u2018Invalid\u2019 <\/span>subnetwork status<\/span><\/a>. \u00a0Now, if an update subnetwork operation fails due to the discovery of a subnetwork error or dirty area, we will mark the subnetwork as Invalid. The Update Subnetwork<\/a> tool will also<\/span> exclude<\/span> invalid<\/span> subnetwork<\/span>s<\/span> from the list when you choose to update all subnetworks in a tier and prevents the subnetwork from populating the drop-down list when selecting subnetworks for update in the tool.<\/span> Because invalid subnetworks<\/span> are<\/span> now <\/span>be <\/span>ignored<\/span> by the update subnetwork operation, the subnetwork must<\/span> first be made dirty through editing and validation <\/span>(hopefully c<\/span>orrecting all the errors!<\/span>) <\/span>before the<\/span> subnetwork<\/span> can be updated again and marked as clean.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Find Subnetworks pane <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n
We have made several improvements to the Find Subnetworks pane.\u00a0 First, we’ve implemented one of the most commonly requested items from working within the pane:\u00a0 the contents of the pane are now sorted using the Subnetwork Name column which make it much easier to locate the subnetwork is question through scrolling, without the need to filter.<\/span><\/p>\n
We have also made changes to the way that the <\/span><\/span>Find <\/span>S<\/span>ubnetworks pane<\/span><\/span><\/a> runs trace and update <\/span>subnetwork<\/span> operat<\/span>ions<\/span>. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>These operations no<\/span>w run directly against the<\/span> utility network dataset instead of going through<\/span> the geoprocessing framework<\/span>. Utility Network Version 6 with ArcGIS Pro 3.0<\/h1>\n
A new utility network dataset version<\/a> was released with the ArcGIS Pro 3.0 release.\u00a0 This was done primarily to provide improvements for working with Network Diagrams.\u00a0 Utility Network version 6 set the ASSOCIATIONTYPE field on the Associations table as a subtype field to improve performance when displaying diagrams and editing associations. System provided network attributes<\/a> were also exposed for use in various geoprocessing tools.<\/p>\n
Please note that there is no requirement to upgrade your utility network to take advantage of the enhancements outlined above unless you wish to take advantage of system provided network attributes exposed in the Trace, Add Trace Configuration, and Set Subnetwork Definition geoprocessing tools.\u00a0 \u00a0Later versions of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise can be used to view, edit, and share earlier versions of the utility network.<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"
