I originally had the idea for this map after I read through the \u201cData report: Strategic Environmental management Plan for deep seabed mineral exploitation in the Atlantic Basin\u201d. <\/a>\u00a0The report is a wealth of knowledge that lists important geographic data sets that describe the features and characteristics of the seafloor.<\/p>\n

This map is a compilation of five different layers that can help you visualize and understand the different areas of the seafloor:<\/p>\n

  1. Plate Boundaries<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Seafloor Crustal Age<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Oceanic Vents<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. GEBCO Bathymetry<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. Plate Isopachs<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    You can find these resources in the following \u201cSeafloor\u201d group<\/a> in ArcGIS Online as well in as well as in the ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World<\/a>.<\/p>\n
