For example, say you have a map containing all of the park boundaries and tree points within the city of Boulder, Colorado. In order to easily track what trees belong to which park, a relationship from the parks (parent feature) to the trees (children features) has been established using the Global ID field. The form builder will automatically detect if there is a feature-to-feature relationship on the selected layer and list it under the <strong>related records <\/strong>element section. To add the element, simply drag and drop into the form or click &#8220;Add all&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Just like any other form element, you can customize the settings for the related record element. Enter the title, add a description, or change the sort by field and sort order. For example, a user must have a park boundary feature before they are able to add a tree to the relationship. Configure the forms for all related features &amp; tables<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whether you have one relationship in your dataset or twenty, it is important to take the time and configure the forms for each editable layer in your map.* This allows you to provide more context and a streamlined editing experience for that data editors.<\/p>\n<p><em>*Note: For more tips and tricks on how to leverage forms in Map Viewer, check out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/products\/arcgis-online\/mapping\/smart-forms-arent-just-for-field-maps-anymore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Smart Forms aren&#8217;t just for ArcGIS Field Maps Anymore<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Use the \u201cAdd feature\u201d button to create new related records<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When editing related records, use the &#8220;Add feature&#8221; button underneath the related record element. This will automatically populate the relationship key field and link the child to the parent feature. Although you can author an Arcade expression to fetch the related key, it is a more efficient and reliable workflow to use the &#8220;Add feature&#8221; button available in the editor panel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Use <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/tool-reference\/data-management\/add-global-ids.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Global IDs<\/a> as the relationship Origin Primary Key<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When designing feature-to-feature relationships, it is best practice to enable the Global ID field on all related layers and tables. Then when establishing relationships in ArcGIS Pro, be sure to use the Global ID field as the Origin Primary Key field. Using an automatically generated GUID field like Global ID minimizes data entry error and streamlines the process of editing related
