How to build this app<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Follow the steps below to create a basic elevation profile viewer application for your network. Feel free to further customize the layout, themes, and content for your own app. You will need an ArcGIS organizational account with privileges<\/a>\u00a0to create content.<\/p>\n

Create a new application<\/h3>\n

  1. Use your own web map with utility data or use the Wastewater Network Map<\/a> sample from the example above.<\/li>\n
  2. From the web map item details page, click Create Web App<\/strong>\u00a0and choose\u00a0Experience Builder<\/strong>.<\/li>\n

          View Laterals intersecting with the Mains<\/h3>\n

          The Z values for this layer are incorrect and there is no elevation attribute field. It is safe to assume that all Laterals are attached to the Mains and can be represented at an elevation matching the Main lines.<\/p>\n

          1. From the Map Settings<\/strong>, under Intersecting Layers<\/strong>, choose the Laterals line layer.<\/li>\n
          2. For the Elevation value<\/strong>, choose Match Profile<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          3. Choose a\u00a0Display Field<\/strong> for the Laterals in the graph.<\/li>\n
          4. Optionally, make changes to the\u00a0Style<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          5. In Live View<\/strong> mode, you can now see\u00a0intersecting Laterals relative to the Main and the ground.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Display a list of Mains<\/h3>\n

            There are different ways to select features to generate an elevation profile. Provide a list of all the Mains so users can quickly find the Main they are looking for.<\/p>\n

            1. From the\u00a0Insert widget<\/strong>\u00a0panel, find the\u00a0List<\/b> widget and add it to the left of the Elevation Profile widget, below the Map widget.<\/li>\n
            2. Connect the List<\/strong> widget to the Mains layer from the map.<\/li>\n
            3. Configure the Dynamic<\/strong> text content to show the Asset ID<\/em>.<\/li>\n
            4. Optionally, configure the Image<\/strong> to display the Dynamic Symbol<\/strong> from the map.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
