You can create reality mesh data using applications <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/en-us\/arcgis\/products\/arcgis-reality\/products\/arcgis-reality-studio\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">like ArcGIS Reality Studio<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/data\/imagery\/introduction-to-arcgis-reality-extension.htm\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">ArcGIS Reality for ArcGIS Pro extension<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/en-us\/arcgis\/products\/arcgis-drone2map\/overview\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">ArcGIS Drone2Map<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/en-us\/arcgis\/products\/arcgis-reality\/products\/site-scan-for-arcgis\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Site Scan<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> for ArcGIS or other software. Your data can be both\u00a0 local sources and public web services<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> This expands the type of data sources you can bring to ArcGIS Pro and enables the use of 3D tiles in common <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/doc.arcgis.com\/en\/3d\/workflows\/help\/what-are-3d-workflows.htm\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">3D workflows<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. To modify your digital twin to the task you want to accomplish it is essential to combine different layers in one scene.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>View layers with different spatial reference together<\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Let us say you want to combine your 3D tiles layer representing a mesh with your <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">utility data like the water pipes of a city. When you add multiple layers to a scene you will need to make sure that data will align properly. ArcGIS Pro allows you to draw data with different <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/mapping\/properties\/coordinate-systems-and-projections.htm\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">spatial references<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> in the same scene.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.ogc.org\/files\/102132\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">3D Tiles specification<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> defines data in geographic coordinate system (WGS 1984) and the vertical coordinate system as ellipsoidal coordinate system (EPSG 4978) WGS 1984. Most authoritative data in GIS are using the official projected coordinate system of the country and gravity related heights if the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/mapping\/properties\/vertical-coordinate-systems.htm\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">vertical coordinate system<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> is not defined. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> what does this mean for you and your data?<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To properly draw your <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">layers,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> you need to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/mapping\/properties\/specify-a-coordinate-system.htm\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">set the vertical coordinate system<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> in the scene&#8217;s properties. For example, in a global scene you could choose EGM96 or EGM2008. Both are gravity related vertical coordinate <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">systems<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and will align with layers that have no vertical coordinate system defined. You can install <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/mapping\/properties\/arcgis-coordinate-systems-data.htm\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">supplementary coordinate system files<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> if you are missing transformations to the spatial reference of the layer in the scene. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">By setting the vertical coordinate system in the scene the 3D tiles layer is projected into a gravity related vertical coordinate system and you can draw 3D tiles together with any other 3D layers, which in turn would allow you to measure the correct x, y, z position<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">with the anticipated height above sea level in the scene.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For example, the image below shows a scene with EGM2008 as vertical coordinate system. For example, a streets layer of a city can be used in many different maps and maintained as line feature layer without z coordinates.
