In ArcGIS Pro 3.4 and ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4, <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/data\/geodatabases\/overview\/validation-attribute-rules.htm\">validation<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/data\/geodatabases\/overview\/calculation-attribute-rules.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_E990820A77724C8AA285A3D23C59E96F\">batch calculation<\/a> attribute rules are supported in file, mobile, and branch-versioned enterprise geodatabases. <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/data\/geodatabases\/overview\/constraint-attribute-rules.htm\">Constraint<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/data\/geodatabases\/overview\/calculation-attribute-rules.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_B0BC99A68A544E318F8E0C4E431BFA64\">immediate calculation<\/a> attribute rules are supported in file, mobile and enterprise geodatabases (branch, traditional, and non-versioned).<\/p>\n<p><strong>How are the attribute rule error layers created?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Attribute rule error layers are a series of system-maintained datasets that store error features created during evaluation of either a batch calculation or validation attribute rule. These datasets are automatically created when the first batch calculation or validation rule is created in a geodatabase. See the <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/data\/geodatabases\/overview\/evaluate-attribute-rules.htm\">evaluate attribute rules<\/a> documentation for more information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Does data reviewer have to be in a utility network model in order to use data reviewer in Pro?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-teams=\"true\">No, the data reviewer rules can be configured for any geodatabase based feature class or table.\u00a0 If you want to define attribute rules on data in the Asset Package, you will need to enable Global IDs as the GlobalID field is set as a GUID type<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is Utility Network only available through ArcGIS Enterprise?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Utility Network is available in File and Mobile Geodatabases, as well as ArcGIS Enterprise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Could you provide a link to the new data dictionary mentioned in the slides?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All of the data dictionaries are now included with the solution when it is deployed.\u00a0 We are working on adding a link to our help site.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is it possible to export Reviewer-based attribute rules to see the Arcade expression?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Validation attribute rules implemented using Data Reviewer checks do not rely on Arcade to perform data validation. Instead, checks leverage a validation engine that is purpose-built to efficiently query and analyze spatial data. This engine provides improved performance by optimizing queries on your geodatabase, combining multiple rules during validation and generating error results that more precisely depict error conditions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Would a utility network prevent or not permit these types of issues?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-teams=\"true\">The utility network error model does capture some errors we configured Data Reviewer to discover, but does not provide all the validation of attributes, such as ensuring all valves have a valid status.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Are all Data Reviewer checks that were available in ArcMap available in attribute rule workflows?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Integration of Data Reviewer\u2019s automated checks in attribute rule-based workflows began with the ArcGIS Pro 2.5 and ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8 releases. With each successive release, additional checks were implemented and, in some cases, enhanced to better support attribute rule workflows. Except for the <a href=\"https:\/\/desktop.arcgis.com\/en\/arcmap\/latest\/extensions\/data-reviewer\/scenarios-for-checking-valency.htm\">Valency<\/a> check, all checks planned for migration are now available. See the ArcGIS Data Reviewer <a href=\"https:\/\/community.esri.com\/t5\/arcgis-data-reviewer-documents\/tkb-p\/arcgis-data-reviewer-docs\">product roadmap<\/a> for additional information on what\u2019s planned in the future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are the plans for support of Data Reviewer\u2019s ArcMap-based quality control capabilities in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Several of Data Reviewer\u2019s most used ArcMap workflows are available in ArcGIS Pro to support those organizations who have a mixed environment of ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro deployments. These workflows include the use of existing Reviewer Batch Jobs to automate data validation, visual review tools, and the storage of error results in a Reviewer workspace.<\/p>\n<p>With the upcoming retirement of ArcMap, customers are strongly encouraged to migrate their QC workflows to attribute rules as soon as possible. See the <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/data\/validating-data\/migration-from-10-x-to-pro-for-data-validation.htm\">Migration from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro for data validation<\/a> topic for more information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How can we clean our source data without Data Reviewer? Can the errors be identified and addressed manually as a one-time cleanup prior to migration?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can use Arcade expressions in Attribute rules to validate your data.\u00a0 Also, you can use the available core ArcGIS Pro geoprocessing tools to identify data issues.\u00a0 However, Data Reviewer makes it more efficient.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the difference between Topology Rules and Data Reviewer?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Geodatabase topology and Data Reviewer are both capabilities that support the creation and management of high-quality data. There are advantages to using both capabilities in data management workflows. A key difference between these capabilities is the aspects of a feature\u2019s quality that can be assessed. Data Reviewer checks are used to assess multiple aspects of a feature\u2019s quality. This includes the ability to identify data quality issues related to a feature\u2019s integrity, attribution, as well as a feature\u2019s spatial relationship to other features. For a complete list of Data Reviewer checks, review the <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/data\/validating-data\/an-overview-of-data-reviewer-checks-in-arcgis-pro.htm\">ArcGIS Data Reviewer Checks<\/a> poster.<\/p>\n<p>A geodatabase topology is used to enforce a spatial relationship between features in a geodatabase. This includes assessment of spatial relationships such as overlaps, intersections, and gaps. For a complete list of topology rules, review the <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/editing\/pdf\/topology_rules_poster.pdf\">ArcGIS Geodatabase Topology Rules<\/a> poster.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is it possible to migrate from the Esri Local Government Information Model (LGIM) to a Utility Network?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-teams=\"true\">The updated migration tools provided with the ArcGIS Solutions and the tutorial simplify this process.\u00a0 The migration from the LGIM to the sewer essential models is documented in the tutorial we just released.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Licensing questions<\/h2>\n<p><strong>How is ArcGIS Data Reviewer licensed?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ArcGIS Data Reviewer is an integrated extension to ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise that supports quality control workflows across multiple industries and data types. In ArcGIS Pro, Data Reviewer is available for all <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/get-started\/license-levels.htm\">license levels<\/a> as an add-on to a Named User, Single Use, or Concurrent Use license type. See the <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/get-started\/licensing-arcgis-pro.htm\">ArcGIS Pro license type<\/a> documentation for more information.<\/p>\n<p>In ArcGIS Enterprise, Data Reviewer is available for the Standard and Advanced editions of ArcGIS GIS Server. The extension is a CPU-based license that is required for each GIS server that is federated with the organization. See the <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.arcgis.com\/en\/server\/latest\/get-started\/windows\/server-extensions.htm\">ArcGIS GIS Server capabilities and extensions<\/a> documentation for more information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is ArcGIS Data Reviewer required for identifying and resolving data issues when migrating to the Utility Network, or can they be addressed without a Data Reviewer license?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No, Data Reviewer is not required.\u00a0 You can enable the Utility Network to identify Utility Network Errors.\u00a0 Data review can identify many of these errors, as well as many other data issues that are not considered Utility Network errors, but should be resolved, such as a dangle on a water main\/service.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For more information on ArcGIS Data Reviewer, please visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/en-us\/arcgis\/products\/arcgis-data-reviewer\/overview\">product page<\/a>.
