Since then, no new features or capabilities have been added to Map Viewer Classic, and there have only been maintenance fixes. Will I be able to access my maps after the retirement date?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>As of Q1 2025, users of <span data-teams=\"true\">new organizations, trials, and public accounts will not be able to open content in Map Viewer Classic from the item page, app launcher, or any other page in ArcGIS Online, such as Gallery or Content.<\/span> Users of these accounts will also not be able to select Map Viewer Classic as their primary map viewer. Upon retirement in Q1 2026, Esri will discontinue software support and technical support for Map Viewer Classic. You will no longer be able to create maps with Map Viewer Classic, and maps previously saved in Map Viewer Classic will automatically be accessible from Map Viewer.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>What about the apps I&#8217;ve created with Map Viewer Classic maps? Will they continue to work after retirement?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>In advance of the Map Viewer Classic retirement, you should identify any workflows presently using Map Viewer Classic, such as those saved in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/en-us\/arcgis\/products\/arcgis-web-appbuilder\/resources\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ArcGIS Web AppBuilder<\/a> apps, and proactively consider Map Viewer and other apps such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/en-us\/arcgis\/products\/arcgis-experience-builder\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ArcGIS Experience Builder<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/en-us\/arcgis\/products\/arcgis-instant-apps\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ArcGIS Instant Apps<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/storymaps.arcgis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ArcGIS StoryMaps<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/en-us\/arcgis\/products\/arcgis-dashboards\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ArcGIS Dashboards<\/a> as alternatives.
