While many organizations opt for a full implementation using industry-standard data models, we recognize that some utilities need a more incremental approach. To support those users, we\u2019re introducing the Utility Network Migration Toolset\u2014a new option designed for utilities looking to transition their existing GIS data into a utility network without adopting a pre-defined industry model from the start.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who Is This Toolset For?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This toolset is intended for utilities (electric, water, wastewater, storm water, gas &amp; telco) across the globe that want to migrate their data to the ArcGIS Utility Network with minimal disruptions to their existing schema. It is best suited for organizations that need foundational network capabilities\u2014such as connectivity and tracing\u2014without immediately implementing the full range of advanced configurations, associations, and non-spatial objects provided by Esri\u2019s Utility Network Foundation models.<\/p>\n<p>If your organization is preparing for a full digital twin strategy or needs deep integration with an ADMS, OMS, or GIS-based network modeling solution, this toolset may not be the right approach. Instead, a more comprehensive migration using a well-defined industry model would be necessary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What to Expect?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With intuitive user experience, the toolset streamlines the migration process and offers validation checks and automation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.<br \/>\nUsers can expect:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Streamlined Data Migration<\/strong> \u2013 Convert and validate existing network data with minimal disruption.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Configurability &amp; Flexibility<\/strong> \u2013 Adapt the migration process to fit your organization\u2019s specific needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Error Handling &amp; Insights<\/strong> \u2013 Gain visibility into potential issues early to ensure data quality.<\/p>\n<p>The Migration toolset is a significant step toward enabling smoother transitions to the ArcGIS Utility Network. Currently we are on track to release this toolset for ArcGIS Pro 3.3 as a toolbox, by the end of this month.
