In ArcGIS Pro you will find additional functionality in the ribbon.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/pro.arcgis.com\/en\/pro-app\/latest\/help\/metadata\/copy-or-import-metadata-to-an-item.htm\">Import<\/a> &#8211; This is similar to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/products\/arcgis-online\/announcements\/overwrite-your-metadata-with-ease\">overwrite functionality<\/a> that can be found in the metadata editor in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise. However, unlike the overwrite functionality, ArcGIS Pro does not require the metadata to be in ArcGIS Metadata XML format.
