Grab it off MyEsri.","flexible_content":[{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<p>Riding the coattails of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/products\/arcgis-enterprise\/announcements\/whats-new-in-arcgis-enterprise-10-6-1\/\">ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6.1 release<\/a>, Workforce for ArcGIS released as a separate setup (v18.0.2) that you can download from the <a href=\"https:\/\/my.esri.com\/#\/\">My Esri website<\/a>. Go to My Organizations &gt; Downloads to grab the setup titled &#8220;Workforce for ArcGIS 18.0.2&#8221;. This is a minor bug fix release and is at feature parity with the web app embedded within ArcGIS Online.<\/p>\n<p>Also, a new <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com\/python\/guide\/managing-workforce-for-arcgis-projects\/\">Workforce module<\/a> was added to the ArcGIS API for Python with version 1.4.1 earlier this year. Using the new Workforce module greatly improves and simplifies your Workforce automation tasks and it works great with ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6.1.<\/p>\n<p>In case you are wondering what&#8217;s next for Workforce, we are busy working on the next major update right now! Here are some of the key new capabilities we are focused on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Support for offline workflows<\/strong> &#8211; this is the primary driver for our next release and our intent is to make this experience seamless for the mobile worker. They shouldn&#8217;t need to worry about connectivity or synchronizing changes, it should just work.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Self-assigning work<\/strong> &#8211; we are adding a new capability in the mobile app to pick-up unassigned work and complete it.\u00a0 This can boost efficiency when your mobile workers finish their ToDo list before the end of the day and still have time to complete more assignments or finish an assignment ahead of schedule and want to grab planned work that is near their location.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Modernized User Experience<\/strong> &#8211; if you use Explorer or Collector, you may have noticed that we are modernizing the user experience of our mobile apps. Explorer released earlier in the year, Collectors&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/community.esri.com\/community\/gis\/applications\/collector-for-arcgis\/blog\/2017\/09\/06\/the-aurora-project\">Aurora Project<\/a> will release later this year and so will Workforce. The shared experience will feel quite natural as your field workforce moves between apps to complete their work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There is a lot more we have on our road map &#8211; starting with support for <strong>integrating 3rd party apps<\/strong> in your Workforce projects, extending the <strong>assignment schema,\u00a0<\/strong>passing <strong>more data<\/strong> from the assignment to Collector and Survey123 using app integration, enabling <strong>multiple project owners<\/strong> and much more.<\/p>\n<p>Our Workforce development team has started a new project called <strong>Location Tracking<\/strong>.
