When toggled, the &#8220;Select all&#8221; checkbox will select or unselect its child <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com\/calcite-design-system\/components\/combobox-item\/\">Combobox Items<\/a>. When some, but not all Combobox Items are selected, the &#8220;Select all&#8221; checkbox will display in a mixed state.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;padding: 1rem;border: 1px solid #D3D3D3\" src=\"https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com\/calcite-design-system\/77774ed141b49451dac1ae06d3a3d184\/combobox-select-all.gif\" alt=\"Combobox now provides a selectAllEnabled property offering the ability to toggle all of the child Combobox Items.\" \/><\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<h2 id=\"masking\">Input Time Picker masking<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com\/calcite-design-system\/components\/input-time-picker\/\">Input Time Picker<\/a> now offers input masking so users can adjust the component&#8217;s <code>value<\/code> via keyboard through the hour, minutes, seconds, and meridiem. The component&#8217;s functionality has been enhanced to better accommodate keyboard users and use cases. With the usability improvements the Input Time Picker now opens when the user interacts with the component&#8217;s chevron via mouse.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;padding: 1rem;border: 1px solid #D3D3D3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/input-time-picker.gif\" alt=\"Input Time Picker's masking capabilities support more workflows to interact and change the component's value.\" \/><\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<h2 id=\"interactive-states\">Enhanced component interactive states<\/h2>\n<p>Calcite continues its initiative to audit and update interactive states across the design system, focusing on providing consistent, accessible, and expected feedback for user interactions including <code>hover<\/code>,\u00a0<code>press<\/code>, and\u00a0<code>focus<\/code>. These interactive state updates ensure each component provides clear visual cues for all interactive states, improving component usability and accessibility for all users.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;padding: 1rem;border: 1px solid #D3D3D3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/button-interaction-states.gif\" alt=\"Before and after graphic of the Button's interactive states.\" \/><\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<h2 id=\"resizing\">Resizing usability improvements<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com\/calcite-design-system\/components\/shell-panel\/\">Shell Panel<\/a>\u00a0now offers improved usability via its\u00a0<code>resizable<\/code>\u00a0property, making it easier to discover and resize\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com\/calcite-design-system\/components\/panel\/\">Panels<\/a> in your apps with a full length resizable handle. Resizing can be achieved via keyboard and mouse, also providing a sufficient hit area to accommodate more users.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com\/calcite-design-system\/911aafbfa0c97bd3507d3b3009f0bef6\/shell-panel-resize.gif\" alt=\"Shell Panel now has larger resize handle that makes it clear when a panel can be resized.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Panels can now be resized when <code>displayMode<\/code>\u00a0is\u00a0<code>\"float\"<\/code>, providing more flexibility with your layout and user experience.<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<h2 id=\"expanded\">Block and List Item&#8217;s new <code>expanded<\/code> property<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com\/calcite-design-system\/components\/block\/\">Block<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com\/calcite-design-system\/components\/list-item\/\">List Item<\/a> components now offer a new <code>expanded<\/code> property, deprecating their <code>open<\/code> properties. The new property offering provides clarity and consistency across components.<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<h2 id=\"floating\">Action Bar&#8217;s <code>floating<\/code> property<\/h2>\n<p>The new\u00a0<code>floating<\/code>\u00a0property for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com\/calcite-design-system\/components\/action-bar\/\">Action Bar<\/a>\u00a0now provides the same floating appearance and overflow menu behavior as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com\/calcite-design-system\/components\/action-pad\/\">Action Pad<\/a>. The change deprecates the Action Pad component, in favor of Action Bar.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/action-bar-floating.png\" alt=\"Action Bar with floating property replaces Action Pad, offering the same floating style.\" \/><\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<h2 id=\"alias\">Localization update<\/h2>\n<p>When specifying the Nynorsk locale (&#8220;nn&#8221; or &#8220;nn-NO&#8221;), it will now default to Norwegian string translations (&#8220;no&#8221;) instead of English. The accessibility and usability improvements provide more color contrast to more audiences.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-3.png\" alt=\"Switch now provides a higher contrast ratio enhancing its color contrast to more audiences.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, components using the warning color now offer additional color contrast in both light and dark modes.
