<code>.esl<\/code> spectral library items directly in ArcGIS Online and make it accessible across the ArcGIS platform.<\/li>\n<li>New raster types when creating hosted imagery \u2013 <em>AVIRIS<\/em> and <em>EMIT<\/em> raster types are now available for building richer, sensor\u2011specific hyperspectral imagery layers.<\/li>\n<li>Two new raster functions \u2013 Use <strong>Subset Bands<\/strong> to extract interested raster bands, <strong>Label Bad Bands<\/strong> to specify bad bands that can be avoided during downstream analysis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Raster Spectral Library files across the ArcGIS platform. The Esri Spectral Library (.esl) \u00a0stores sensor information, material name, and lists of wavelengths and values. This is required for some hyperspectral analysis workflows.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>New raster types when creating hosted imagery<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Hyperspectral raster types for both AVIRIS and EMIT imagery have been added to the list of raster types and can be used to create imagery layers. The <strong>Subset Bands<\/strong> raster function allows the extraction of a selection of raster bands using a range or list. This function can be used to reduce the number of raster bands to streamline analysis without using losing critical information. Adjacent hyperspectral imagery bands are often correlated, so removing the redundancy to focus on the most unique and informative bands. These layers have empowered users across industries to perform powerful visualization and analysis directly within ArcGIS Online without the need to download large datasets. These imagery layers now include demographic thematic imagery layers and additional land cover thematic layers.<\/p>\n<p>This optimization was introduced in a previous release on a select set of ArcGIS Living Atlas imagery layers, enabling support for significantly <strong>larger areas of analysis<\/strong>. For example, you can perform on-the-fly unit conversion for temperature data from Celsius to Fahrenheit; you can grab the RGB values from clicked pixel to dynamically color the pop-up text that matches the pixel rendering.<\/p>\n<p><code>$pixel<\/code> variable allows you to get pixel values and other pixel-dependent information; <code>$imageCollectionItem<\/code> returns the image attributes in the image collection that is currently in the view.
