Because this was the first version of ArcGIS Pro to use the unified .NET, there were changes in the .NET code that would break compatibility with previous versions of ArcGIS Pro (which were built on .NET Framework). However, that is not the case. ArcGIS Pro 3.3 (May 2024) was a <em>minor<\/em> release with great new functionality, but no breaking changes. And the same goes for ArcGIS Pro 3.7 (May 2026). It will contain new functionality, and documents saved in ArcGIS Pro 3.7 will continue to be compatible with all ArcGIS Pro 3.x versions and existing 3.x SDK extensions (add-ins, configurations, plug-in data sources, and CoreHost applications) should continue to work.<\/p>\n<h2>Install .NET 10 to be ready for ArcGIS Pro 3.7<\/h2>\n<p>You don\u2019t need to wait until May to install .NET 10. If you have admin privileges on your machine, you can do this on your own. Existing 3.x SDK extensions \u2013 add-ins, configurations, plug-in data sources and CoreHost apps \u2013 should continue to work in ArcGIS Pro 3.7 with no recompilation needed in most cases.
