ArcGIS Workforce<\/a> is designed around two primary roles: the Dispatcher<\/strong> who creates and assigns work and the Mobile Worker<\/strong> that completes work. However, there may be a third role, the Supervisor<\/b> who needs to see the high-level status of the project. The supervisor may be interested in key performance metrics such as the number of assignments that were completed in a given week, the number assignments due by the end of the week, or the number of assignments completed by each worker. Although the Workforce web app allows dispatchers to view and edit assignments, a much easier way to share and visualize this information in a read-only manner is to use ArcGIS Dashboards<\/strong>. Let\u2019s see how to create a simple dashboard from an existing Workforce project:<\/p>\n

Make a copy of the dispatcher map<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. In the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer open the dispatcher map for the Project and save a copy of the map.<\/li>\n
  2. Set a refresh interval of 0.5 minutes for the assignments and workers layers and save the map.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Create a new Dashboard<\/a><\/em> using the new map<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. ArcGIS Dashboards is a configurable web app that is available with ArcGIS Online and Enterprise 10.6+.           Tip: <\/strong>From the webmap you can also click \u201cShare\u201d. Then select \u201cCreate Web App\u201d. Then select the \u201cArcGIS Dashboards\u201d tab, fill out the form and click \u201cDone\u201d. This will automatically add the webmap to a new dashboard.<\/p>\n

          Add some Indicators<\/a><\/em> to show assignment statuses<\/h3>\n

            1. By default, the indicator is showing the total number of assignments. Let\u2019s add a filter to only show completed assignments. Click the +Filter<\/em> button, select the \u201cstatus\u201d field<\/em>, use equal<\/em> as the operator, and set the value<\/em> to \u201cCompleted.\u201d<\/li>\n
            2. Let\u2019s now add a descriptive title to this indicator. Open the General<\/em> tab, and add a Name<\/em> of \u201cCompleted Assignments\u201d. Additionally, use the rich text editor to set the Title<\/em> to \u201cCompleted\u201d. Center the text and change the paragraph format to Heading 3<\/em>.                 1. Let\u2019s clean up the dashboard so it looks nice. Hover over one of the indicators. Notice the blue icons that appear in the upper left. Click and drag the \u201cdrag item\u201d icon and place the indicator at the top of the map (in a row). Repeat this for all indicators (using \u201cdock as a column\u201d).                       Add a Pie Chart<\/a><\/em> to show the status of workers<\/h3>\n

                      1. Let\u2019s add a pie chart that shows the current break down of the workers. Using the add menu, add a new Pie Chart<\/em>. When prompted to select a layer, choose \u201cWorkers\u201d. You are now on the pie chart configuration dialog.<\/li>\n
                      2. The default type of pie chart uses categories from Grouped Values<\/em>. Let\u2019s use this option since we want to show the number of workers that are \u201cworking\u201d, \u201cnot working\u201d, or \u201con break.\u201d<\/li>\n
                      3. In the category field dropdown, select the \u201cStatus\u201d field. You should now see a preview of the pie chart.<\/li>\n
                      4. Let\u2019s style this chart a bit. First open the Chart<\/em> tab, and set the inner radius to 75%. Let\u2019s turn off the labels and set the legend placement to Bottom<\/em>.<\/li>\n
                      5. Next, open the Slices<\/em> tab and set the category colors as follows:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                        Not Working -> #A3A3A3 (Grey)<\/p>\n

                        Working -> #479347 (Green)<\/p>\n

                        On Break -> #D8BE3C (Yellow)<\/p>\n

                        Tip<\/strong>: If you don\u2019t have one of these categories, you can add a new category.<\/p>\n
