below.<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<p><strong>Introducing: Compare<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Use a side by side or horizontal stacked view to visualize data between two maps, two scenes, or now, one of each using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arcgis.com\/home\/item.html?id=632dc51300de4ef7b2630d2d303f1440\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Compare<\/a>.\u00a0 This new app combines and furthers the functionality and experience offered in our previous two comparison apps: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arcgis.com\/home\/item.html?id=87ac24135d5341b39b871ff02f3afe49\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Compare Analysis<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arcgis.com\/home\/item.html?id=e4cd4c1ee24641f985852f94153f4479\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Compare Scenes<\/a>.\u00a0 Note: both of these apps have moved to the <a href=\"http:\/\/downloads2.esri.com\/support\/TechArticles\/Product-Life-Cycle.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mature support phase of the product life cycle<\/a> and more information can be found in the last section of this blog below.<\/p>\n<p>The configuration panel of Compare makes it easy to choose if your app will compare 2D data, 3D data, or a combination.\u00a0\u00a0Choose to link the two views depending if you want to show the same location or not.\u00a0\u00a0Furthermore, configure if popups between the two views will be in sync.\u00a0 have made enhancements to Layer Showcase to better support local data.\u00a0 The app configuration now includes the ability to set the default extent of the map when the app loads, and if the layer and pan to provides many options for filtering and sorting content from a group.\u00a0 A highlight feature is that it is our first gallery app that takes advantage of <a href=\"https:\/\/doc.arcgis.com\/en\/arcgis-online\/share-maps\/own-groups.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_4BDBB9F2A8A3491CACF1C9B5B4E58FDD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">group categories<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/doc.arcgis.com\/en\/arcgis-online\/administer\/manage-items.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_6EE6EAA55E494C0A9E8391555E7D54F3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">organization content categories<\/a>.\u00a0 Content is displayed in the gallery as a list or grid, and can be opened and explored within the app.\u00a0 Filtering choices are available in a side panel and include various options such as group categories, content categories, item type, tags, authoritative\/deprecated status, etc.\u00a0 Sorting options are available from a drop down list to further refine how content is displayed in the gallery.\u00a0 A\u00a0custom header can be created via HTML or custom CSS to give the gallery a unique presentation and
