The Road Closures solution can be used b<\/span>y<\/span> engineers and operations staff to maintain an inventory of closures, blocks and detours. Update recurring road closures<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

Recurring closures can be a pain to re-enter into a management system. The new Road Closures solution stores all past closures<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>These closures <\/span><\/span>are visible as partially transparent in the editing application. Using the bulk updater, you can highlight a group of closures, blocks and detours and update the dates to reflect a future closure. Share closures with Waze<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

It\u2019s important to proactively share closures with travelers. One way to do this is to connect your agency’s closures with 3<\/span>rd<\/span> party applications such as Waze. The road closures layer complies with the <\/span>Closure and Incidents Feed Specifications (CIFS)<\/a>\u00a0for road closures<\/span>. This means you can share your closures with Waze for Cities easily<\/span>. The information can then be used in routing suggestions to travelers. <\/span>To\u00a0<\/span>get started with sharing your closures with<\/span> consumer applications, follow<\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>steps here<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
