The new i3s version is more compact and supports PBR (physically based rendering) materials. Consequently, the published 3D object scene layers load faster and look better in Scene Viewer and other ArcGIS web Serlio, a\u00a0CityEngine\u00a0plug-in for Maya<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Esri\/serlio\">Serlio<\/a> is a new plug-in for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/maya\/overview\">Autodesk Maya<\/a>. It enables the execution of\u00a0CityEngine\u00a0rules in a\u00a0Maya\u00a0scene. This means that a 3D environment artist doesn&#8217;t need to leave their familiar\u00a0Maya\u00a0toolset anymore to make use of\u00a0CityEngine&#8217;s procedural modeling power. Complicated export and import pipelines are no longer needed, which means that the procedural building models don&#8217;t need to be \u201cbaked\u201d anymore. The buildings remain procedural during the entire modeling workflow.
