Grab the latest update and take advantage of the new features within.","flexible_content":[{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<p>The Collector team is pleased to announce that on <strong>Tuesday October 24th<\/strong>, we updated Collector for ArcGIS on the iOS platform.<\/p>\n<p>This is a minor update that for Collector (v19.2.0) that includes the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We have updated our app linking capabilities to include passing a 3D feature geometry (point, line and polygons are supported) and the choice of using the antenna height and location profile. These new capabilities enable partner apps to provide even more advanced new capabilities that extend the functionality of Collector. Read about all the great things you can do with app links in this <a href=\"https:\/\/doc.arcgis.com\/en\/collector\/ipad\/help\/deploy-map.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_F7DE2402BA8743E5BFC4A1241072960E\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">documentation topic<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Key updates to parcel mapping workflows for the Dutch Kadastre<\/li>\n<li>Initial support for PKI-based authentication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We squashed a number of bugs including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a class=\"xref xref\" href=\"https:\/\/support.esri.com\/en\/bugs\/nimbus\/QlVHLTAwMDExOTcyNg==\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BUG-000119726<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"xref xref\" href=\"https:\/\/support.esri.com\/en\/bugs\/nimbus\/QlVHLTAwMDEyMDQzMA==\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BUG-000120430<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"xref xref\" href=\"https:\/\/support.esri.com\/en\/bugs\/nimbus\/QlVHLTAwMDEyMjQ4MQ==\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BUG-000122481<\/a>, and\u00a0<a class=\"xref xref\" href=\"https:\/\/support.esri.com\/en\/bugs\/nimbus\/QlVHLTAwMDEyNDU1NQ==\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BUG-000124555<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>What&#8217;s Coming Next<\/strong><\/em><strong>&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As you know, we have been busy at work with Collector development on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/products\/collector\/field-mobility\/collector-for-arcgis-android-beta-update-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Android platform<\/a> and we are close to being feature complete. We have another beta update coming soon and are planning to release in Q1 of next year. If you are interested in participating in the beta program, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/community.esri.com\/external-link.jspa?url=https%3A%2F%2Fearlyadopter.esri.com%2Fwelcome%2Fdefault.html%3Fkey%3DCollectorforArcGIS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">join us here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On the iOS platform, we have some exciting work happening that will see its way to releasing before the end of the year. This includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Snapping &#8211; when using the map to create a point, line or polygon you will be able to snap vertices of the shape you construct to existing point features as well as the vertices of line and polygon features!<\/li>\n<li>Bulk attribute updates &#8211; you&#8217;ll be able to update the same attribute for multiple features all at once.<\/li>\n<li>Recent values &#8211; to minimize repetitive data entry tasks, we will hold recent values for a field so that you can easily add them to the next feature you create.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to all of the above, we have started development of a new web experience for Collector that brings together all of the pieces needed to author and deploy maps to your field workforce. This will dramatically simplify the authoring experience and will be the home of some exciting new work in building smart forms for Collector.
