Both scripts were developed in response to customer requests for additional ways to manage and share quality information. \u00a0Specifically, the scripts facilitate workflows for managing large numbers of records in an automated way and sharing error information with others who do not have Data Reviewer.<\/p>\n<div><!--more--><\/div>\n<div>\n<figure id=\"attachment_49762\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-49762\" style=\"width: 940px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MDRRTools_103.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-49762\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MDRRTools_103.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"940\" height=\"902\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-49762\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Python script tools for managing Data Reviewer records<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The <strong>Copy Data Reviewer Records<\/strong> tool allows you to move records between Reviewer sessions.\u00a0 Here are some of the ways you could utilize this tool:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consolidate records from multiple Reviewer workspaces.\u00a0 \u2018Roll up\u2019 quality data from Regional offices into a Main office geodatabase.<\/li>\n<li>Archive records when a phase or project is complete or automate a nightly script to archive results verified as acceptable.<\/li>\n<li>Subdivide errors into multiple sessions to control QC workflows.\u00a0 You might divide a large number of errors into multiple sessions so that more than one technician can work to correct them.\u00a0 Or, move errors found during an ongoing visual review to a different session for correction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>Export Data Reviewer Records to Shapefile<\/strong> tool exports Reviewer records in a selected workspace to a single multi-point shapefile. You can use this tool to share quality information with others who do not have Data Reviewer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide the shapefile as a reference to discuss data requirements and scenarios with a subject matter expert or your client.<\/li>\n<li>Include the exported shapefile with your data delivery as a record of QC or as a list of known errors\/exceptions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The point shapefile allows others to visualize and navigate to where the errors occur and includes information from the Reviewer record such as the check that identified the record and notes.\u00a0 The following image shows a new point feature created from a polygon error record.
