The Australian DEM (DEM-S), which is a cleaned and smoothed version of SRTM 1 arc sec, is courtesy of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ga.gov.au\/home\" target=\"_blank\">Geoscience Australia<\/a>, while the Asia data is acquired from <a href=\"http:\/\/www2.jpl.nasa.gov\/srtm\/\" target=\"_blank\">NASA<\/a>. Access to these global layers is free and does not consume any credits; all you need is an ArcGIS Organizational account. It\u2019s that easy!<\/p>\n<p>With this update and previously released <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.esri.com\/esri\/arcgis\/2014\/10\/17\/enhanced-shuttle-land-elevation-data-srtm-30-meters-now-in-esri-world-elevation-services\/\">Africa<\/a> , <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.esri.com\/esri\/arcgis\/2015\/02\/06\/south-america-western-europe-srtm-30-m-in-esri-world-elevation-services\/\">South America &amp; Western Europe<\/a>, SRTM 1 arc second is now available for the most part of the world from N 60 to S 60 as depicted below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/03\/SRTM1as_Coverage.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-50151\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/03\/SRTM1as_Coverage.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1022\" height=\"947\" \/><\/a>SRTM 1 arc second (~30 meter) covers land areas between 60 degrees north and 56 degrees south<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com\/rest\/elevation\/\">Elevation Analysis Services<\/a> are also updated to consume SRTM 1 arc second for Profile, Viewshed and Summarize Elevation tasks.
