The online version of the book is interactive and is your guide to the essentials of cartography, storytelling with maps, geographic data, spatial analysis, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/en-us\/arcgis\/3d-gis\/overview\">3D mapping<\/a>, spatial apps, mobile GIS, real-time dashboards, and the social importance of GIS.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ArcGISBook.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-53003 noIMGBackground\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ArcGISBook.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"664\" height=\"299\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>All the lessons included within <em>The ArcGIS Book<\/em> are available on the <a href=\"http:\/\/learn.arcgis.com\/\">Learn<\/a> website, which includes additional\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/learn.arcgis.com\/en\/gallery\/\">guided lessons based on real-world problems<\/a>. You can even <a href=\"http:\/\/livingatlas.arcgis.com\/contribute\/\">contribute your own content<\/a> too!<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re looking to jump start your projects by building on map and app templates, another resource is the <a href=\"http:\/\/solutions.arcgis.com\/gallery\/#s=0\">Solutions gallery<\/a>. You\u2019ll find a variety of templates to fit your needs and shorten your project time.<\/p>\n<p>These resources will continue to be great places to begin building and enriching your GIS work. Many product updates were just released and more will emerge in the coming weeks. As the ArcGIS platform continues to extend its capabilities, the documentation will evolve and provide new gateways to making your projects come to
