the pictures reminds me of some of the best experiences I had this year.\u00a0 I hope you were able to attend and take away your own memories.<\/p>\n<p>What a start to the UC, with rain and fog\u2026if you came in early, it was a good time to go to a Pre-UC session and stay out of the California storm.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/08\/stormy-dat.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-53666\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/08\/stormy-dat-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Where\u2019s the sun!\u00a0 Yes, the rain, lightning and thunder caught some attendees unaware.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/08\/attendee-in-the-rain.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-53660\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/08\/attendee-in-the-rain-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>However, once the plenary started, things really began to heat up, and not just because the sun came out.\u00a0 The all-day plenary session is always such a joy to attend.\u00a0 Speakers from around the world shared really cool stories about how they are using GIS.\u00a0 And if you wanted to know how others are using Esri\u2019s imagery technology, you were not disappointed.\u00a0 With a drone demo in the plenary, and two customers sharing their work (dripping with imagery analysis, FMV, etc.) it felt more like the world\u2019s biggest imagery event!\u00a0 week progressed, we had several standing room only sessions on UAV, UAS and drones and a special interest group (SIG) meeting which brought the foremost experts together in a panel to answer your questions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Drone-panel.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-53662\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Drone-panel-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Imagery @ UC event took place Tuesday morning, and the Director of Imagery, Lawrie Jordan, kicked off the event with his vision for the future, and regaled us with stories about working with imagery in the &#8216;good old days&#8217; and how different it is today.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Lawrie-Jordan.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-53665\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Lawrie-Jordan-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Most of my time was spent in the Esri Showcase imagery island, where I was able to meet a lot of people passionate about imagery! The booth was rocking all three days and the team loved answering all your questions!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Imagery-island.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-53664\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Imagery-island-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And to wrap up, I thought we&#8217;d give a
