Mapping<\/strong> \u2013 We\u2019ve made it easier to work with the data and enabled more options for how it\u2019s displayed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Display a color-coded map of the dominant Tapestry segment grouped by LifeMode groups.<\/li>\n<li>Change the color and thickness of the borders of various boundaries.<\/li>\n<li>Import and store your own custom logos and set them as defaults.<\/li>\n<li>Display points (business searches or your own imported data) and use associated attributes to distinguish differences. There are four new ways to display point data: by type (non-numeric attributes), by color (numeric attributes), by size (numeric attributes), and by heat map. For example, use the number of employees associated with a business to change the size of each location\u2019s pin on the map.<br \/>\n<h6><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56606 noIMGBackground\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/11\/blog51empsizemap.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"527\" height=\"405\" \/><\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. Creating Trade Areas<\/strong> \u2013 Several new options are now available.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create Drive Times with traffic in mind\u2026 use live or historical traffic to represent the reach of your trade areas at different times of day or week.<\/li>\n<li>Create Drive Times based on time or distance <em>toward<\/em>\u00a0a location. This is useful for businesses measuring the reach of customers coming <em>to<\/em> their locations.<\/li>\n<li>Create areas based on walk time or distance from a location. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56075 noIMGBackground\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2015\/11\/blog51walktimes.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"526\" height=\"446\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3. Content Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/doc.arcgis.com\/en\/esri-demographics\/data\/business.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Infogroup is the new Business data provider<\/a> in the U.S. and Canada. As a result, this release includes updates to the Business Locations\/Search data for the U.S. and Canada as well as an update to the U.S. Retail MarketPlace data and report.<\/li>\n<li>The Canadian data has been updated with 2015 data from Environics Analytics. This release includes expanded demographic attributes and all-new themes such as Condominium Status, Recent Immigrants by Country of Birth and Generation Status.
