Insights uses smart defaults when creating cards and updating cards, so your results will always be the best format for the data you provide, allowing you to focus more on your analysis.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_75606\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-75606\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-75606 noIMGBackground\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2017\/03\/ezgif.com-video-to-gif-1.gif\" alt=\"Create and add fields to a table\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-75606\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Drag and drop fields to create or add fields to a table<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span style=\"color: steelblue;\">Aggregate and filter data<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Spatial Aggregation<\/strong> and <strong>Spatial Filter<\/strong> tools can be easily accessed using <strong>drop zones<\/strong> on your cards. \u00a0Drop zones make it quick and easy to add new layers to a map or run commonly used tools. \u00a0Having analysis tools readily available using drag and drop means you can perform your analysis as each step occurs without needing to search through all of the analysis tools.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_75617\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-75617\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-75617 noIMGBackground\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2017\/03\/ezgif.com-video-to-gif-2.gif\" alt=\"Drag and drop to aggregate and filter data\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-75617\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Drag and drop datasets in the Spatial aggregation and Filter by selected features drop zones<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span style=\"color: steelblue;\">Use selections<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One of my favorite tips for anyone who is new to Insights is to use selections along with drag and drop to create new datasets or perform analysis. \u00a0When you drag and drop a subset of your data to a new card, a result dataset will appear in <strong>My Data<\/strong> containing only the selected features. \u00a0You can use this dataset the same way you would use any other dataset, including to create charts and run analysis tools. \u00a0You can also drag and drop selected features to the <strong>Spatial aggregation<\/strong> and <strong>Filter by selected feature<\/strong> drop zones.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_75625\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-75625\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-75625 noIMGBackground\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/arcgis-blog\/app\/uploads\/2017\/03\/ezgif.com-video-to-gif-3.gif\" alt=\"Drag and drop selections\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-75625\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Drag and drop selected features to create new datasets or perform analysis<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<footer><\/footer>\n<footer>Do you have any tips you&#8217;d like to share or questions you need answered?
