Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.esri.com\/esri_content_doc\/dbl\/int\/Esri_Japan_Census_Demographic_Methodology_Statement.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">methodology<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> behind this dataset and view a complete <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.esri.com\/esri_content_doc\/dbl\/int\/AdvancedDemographics_Japan.csv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">list of data attributes<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"_How\"><\/h3>\n<h2>How will these updates affect me?<\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"_For_the_Ready-to-Use\"><\/h3>\n<p><strong>For the Ready-to-Use Living Atlas Maps User within ArcGIS Online<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Demographic layers and maps for 16 countries are updated.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"_For_the_Business\"><\/h3>\n<p><strong>For the Business Analyst and Community Analyst User<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Business Analyst and Community Analyst users can access the updated data through reports, infographics, and maps. The complete attribute list for each country is accessible through the data browser contained in the application.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"_For_the_Data\"><\/h3>\n<p><strong>For the Data Enrichment user in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Maps for Office<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The September 2017 update provides access to the datasets shown above. For a detailed explanation of new or deleted attributes in datasets, see the Release Notes for each individual country available on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/doc.arcgis.com\/en\/esri-demographics\/data\/global-intro.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Esri Demographics documentation pages<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"_For_the_Developer\"><\/h3>\n<p><strong>For the Developer using REST endpoints for Standard Global Demographics &amp; Lifestyle Map Services<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The REST endpoints for Standard Global Demographics &amp; Lifestyle Map Services were updated in September 2017. These changes will impact any application consuming these services. Some of the changes to the underlying REST endpoints included in this release are:<\/p>\n<p>1. Changes to the layer IDs.<\/p>\n<p>2. Changes to layer names.<\/p>\n<p>3. Changes to attribute field names, IDs, and aliases including additions and deletions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Because of updates to the underlying data, users of the Demographics &amp; Lifestyle Map Services may need to update these items in the query parameters of REST requests to the service from their apps.<\/strong>\u00a0To view the updated map service REST endpoints, you will need to access the REST API with a developer or organizational account, using a token request.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"_For_the_Developer_GE\"><\/h3>\n<p><strong>For the Developer using the REST endpoints of the GeoEnrichment Service<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The underlying datasets of the REST endpoints of the GeoEnrichment Service were updated in September 2017.
