Health data is showing that&#8230;<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<ul>\n<li>Disproportionately Black U.S. communities carry the burden of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/health\/coronavirus\/amfar-foundation-for-aids-research-coronavirus-study-blacks-african-americans-20200507.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">more than half of both the country\u2019s COVID-19 cases and deaths<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>African Americans in New York City are dying at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/need-extra-precautions\/racial-ethnic-minorities.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">twice the rate<\/a>\u00a0of whites.<\/li>\n<li>The death rate for Hispanic and Latino people falls in between,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/need-extra-precautions\/racial-ethnic-minorities.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0fifty percent higher<\/a>\u00a0than that of whites.<\/li>\n<li>As of May 3rd,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.azdhs.gov\/preparedness\/epidemiology-disease-control\/infectious-disease-epidemiology\/covid-19\/dashboards\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">approximately 19% of the COVID-19 deaths in Arizona<\/a>\u00a0were among the Native American population even though they represent approximately\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/quickfacts\/AZ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">5.3% of the state\u2019s population<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<p>In response, communities and companies are analyzing risks and designing equitable solutions. However, that challenging work begins with data. The new COVID-19 Health, Racial, and Economic Equity data gallery helps you start understanding and addressing inequity in your community. The data is now available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/coronavirus-disasterresponse.hub.arcgis.com\/\">Esri COVID-19 GIS Hub.<\/a> This gallery contains a collection of Esri maps, data, and apps that can help guide decisions around health, racial, and economic equity during COVID-19 and beyond. This means that it includes layers related to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/socialdeterminants\/index.htm\">social determinants of health<\/a>. More specifically, these include: economic stability, neighborhood and physical environment, education, food, community and social context, and health care system.
