","flexible_content":[{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<p>ArcGIS Pro enables users to create high performance voxel layers using NetCDF data.\u00a0 This blog describes how to use a publicly available toolkit to modify NetCDF data that is \u2018Pacific centric,\u2019 which is a common requirement for some users.<\/p>\n<p>When working with NetCDF data, some data may be \u2018Pacific centric\u2019 with a longitude stretching from [0,360], instead of [-180,180]. One of my favorites is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.giss.nasa.gov\/tools\/panoply\/\">Panoply<\/a>.\u00a0 With Panoply examining the longitude array is as simple as loading the NetCDF, and double clicking the variable that is to be examined. In our example, our longitude values range from 230.1 to 304.9. \u00a0If your data were to cross the prime meridian, this method of data correction will not be the open source <a href=\"http:\/\/nco.sourceforge.net\/\">NCO tools<\/a>, the necessary changes can easily be made.\u00a0 NCO tools, otherwise known as NetCDF Operator tools, are a collection of command line applications which can be used to analyze and manipulate NetCDF files.\u00a0 NCO has been supported by volunteers and professionals, with external support from DOE, NASA, and NSF .\u00a0 The ncap2 tool from NCO can be used for arithmetic operations on NetCDF variables.\u00a0 In general, the command is<\/p>\n<p><code>ncap2 -s \u201cexpression\u201d input.nc output.nc<\/code><\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the following will correct the example dataset<\/p>\n<p><code>ncap2 -s \u201clon=lon-360\u201d example.nc correctedExample.nc<\/code><\/p>\n<p>The new NetCDF will
