Our team of exceptional software developers and DevOps engineers builds next-gen data access components for ArcGIS Online SaaS feature service with different cloud database technologies.

At Esri, feature service DevOps Engineers use the latest technologies and innovations to design and operate a large-scale, robust cloud-based mapping and analytics SaaS, ArcGIS Online. As a DevOps software engineer, you will work with our cross-functional team of software engineers, product engineers, designers, product managers, and release engineers. You will be actively involved in monitoring, logging, and enhancing the capability of the ArcGIS Online feature service from feature inception to delivery, using the latest technology.

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with a team of SREs and DevOps engineers to operate SaaS capabilities in azure cloud platform
  • Provide tools to ensure reliability and resilience of the online feature service
  • Work closely with development teams to improve workflows around monitoring, logging, and testing of the online feature service
  • Design, document, implement, and maintain the SRE operational components of the online feature service
  • Implement automation and effective monitoring of online feature service
  • Iterate on best practices, and share knowledge throughout the team, to increase the quality of the online feature service

Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience coding, problem-solving, and debugging software
  • Ability to develop cloud automation tools in C# and .NET platform
  • Firm grasp on version control concepts and build systems
  • Hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure and tools
  • Familiarity with Redis and relational (PostgreSQL, SQLServer) and No-SQL databases, Distributed database, and RESTful web services
  • Understanding of web, http, networking, security, scaling, and cloud native architecture
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, GIS, or a related field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Strong coding and problem-solving skills in C# and .NET platform
  • Knowledge of working with a source control system, preferably GIT
  • Geospatial and GIS knowledge
  • Familiarity with JSON and HTTP protocol
  • Ability to share your expertise through documentation and mentorship
  • Passionate about creating workflows that help produce a great self-service developer experience
  • Ability to step outside of your comfort zone and explore new and/or unfamiliar tasks
  • Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, GIS, or a related field

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$93,600-$156,000 USD
