Software Developer Internship - GIS Field Apps

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, designers, testers
• Solve and articulate complex problems with application design, development, and user experiences
• Develop focused apps the meet the requirements of a broad range of users

Requirements

• A keen interest in app development for the purpose of collection of new data – and verification of existing GIS data – in the field
• Familiarity of field data collection processes including GNSS receivers and workflows; knowledgeable of various mobile platforms and aware of some of the capabilities and limitations of different solutions
• Ability to work closely with the team and adjust to changes in a constantly evolving environment
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A current 3rd or 4th year Bachelor or Graduate student in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field
• Work onsite in our Melbourne office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
• Must have existing work authorization for Australia

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience with Esri's ArcGIS product suite
