Overview


The Desktop QA Team specializes in automated regression testing for our Desktop and Enterprise products, covering both on-premises and cloud platforms. Our responsibilities also include static code analysis, internal WebApp development, and tooling.

In this role you will utilize your innovative skills to ensure our software is at its best for our users. With this challenging opportunity you will focus on design and development of a robust cloud-based environment to test our cross-platform software. We foster a collaborative environment with support and mentoring from engineering peers.

Responsibilities


  • Design and implement cloud-based DevOps processes and tools
  • Design and develop testing infrastructure on the cloud platform
  • Automate and execute test cases, analyze results to determine pass/failure and report results in a consistent manner
  • Grow and maintain QA infrastructure on the cloud and on-premises
  • Configure and deploy ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal and Databases on the cloud
  • Develop and sustain data pipelines
  • Design and develop operational insights on deployed services
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
  • Design and implement WebApps and tools.

Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience coding, problem-solving and debugging software
  • Experience with DevOps engineering
  • Hands-on experience for provisioning cloud infrastructure using APIs (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins
  • Demonstrated experience with software quality assurance testing, Microsoft Windows and web computing frameworks, C#, python and shell/bash scripting
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure including Autoscaling, Networking and access control.
  • Working knowledge of Git
  • Familiarity with RDBMs and NOSQL databases
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Public Cloud certification
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS products
  • Familiarity with Linux environment
  • Master’s in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$97,344-$162,240 USD
