Overview


If you have a passion for Game Engines (Unity/Unreal Engine) and would like to work on UIs, APIs & SDKs, Esri may be the place for you! We empower game engine developers with comprehensive mapping capabilities and a premium developer experience. In this role you will build developer resources for ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unity and Unreal Engine, designing and documenting best patterns and practices. You will also get the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design, implementation, and validation of new features.

Responsibilities


  • Design and develop sample code or game engine workflows to test and demonstrate product capabilities
  • Manage the development of samples in our public repository
  • Build compelling demos that showcase common geospatial workflows and product features
  • Support users in the Esri Community to troubleshoot app development issues, gather feedback, and ensure a great developer experience
  • Promote the product with engaging presentations, workshops, blogs, videos, and other content

More experienced individuals will:

  • Work closely with product development teams to adopt upcoming technologies and develop new features
  • Examine complex user workflows and define solutions by working closely with customers
  • Lead and coordinate teams of engineers to deliver product releases

Requirements


  • 2+ years of game engine development experience
  • Knowledge of C++ and C#
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management, prioritization, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand new technology concepts quickly and apply them accurately
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or a related field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Ability to design great user experiences
  • Hands-on experience with Esri ArcGIS software or other geospatial technology
  • Master’s in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or a related field
