Overview


Work with solution engineers, sales professionals, and other staff to educate customers on the value of Geographic Information Systems, while using your business development and relationship building skills.

Responsibilities


Account manager interns typically work in our regional offices in one of our sector teams (for example, Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC); and Energy).

 

  • Learn specific Esri products such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro and Field Maps/Survey123, to create value in solving real workflow business challenges today.
  • Build a go to market strategy and develop a capstone presentation, by leveraging storytelling and other presentation style techniques to maximize impact.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of Business Development skills, that you can leverage for a future in Sales, Marketing, Consulting and various Technical roles.


Program Timeline

  • Applications Accepted: Through February 15, 2023, at 5:00 pm PST
  • Interviews: Students selected for phone interviews will be notified by email on a rolling basis January 2023 – February 2023
  • Internship: 12 weeks beginning in late May or June

Requirements


  • We seek students who are majoring in GIS, Geography, or Business.
  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program at a university in the United States; undergrads must be in junior or senior standing
  • Ability to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2023
  • Ability to complete a 12-week internship beginning in May or June 2023
  • General knowledge of Esri products, GIS, data, information systems and software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically presentation skills
  • Prefer a student that will be graduating with a graduate or undergrad level degree in 2023

The pay range for this internship takes into account education level and previous relevant work experience to include specialized skill sets. Interns who meet minimum qualifications during their internship may also qualify for 401(k) and profit share.

 

A reasonable estimate of the base pay range is $24.00 - $29.00.
