Accountant – Corporate Accounting - Operations

Overview


In this Operations Accountant role, you will be responsible for the accounting activities related to fixed assets, inventory, royalties, and other projects.  This may include leases, asset retirements and property disposals, purchase order review, GL and asset coding, and audit support for both domestic and international companies.

Responsibilities


  • Perform analysis, reconciliation, data entry, and reporting
  • Prepare and enter journal entries, including capitalizations, accruals, and reclassifications
  • Prepare & review assigned payment documents
  • Provide analysis support to external teams on various projects
  • Collaborate and cross train with internal team members as needed, and provide back up support as assigned
  • Provide transaction detail and support for both domestic and international entity statutory audits

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or in a related field with an Accounting Certificate, plus 2 years of experience in public or corporate accounting; or a Master's degree in a related field with 1 year of experience in public or corporate accounting
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Familiarity with accounting financial statements with the ability to prepare and analyze financial statements
  • High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, and problem solving
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience with SAP or another large ERP system
  • Experience with Microsoft Access database and SQL Server
  • Current, or actively working to obtain a CPA license

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

 

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $66,560.00 - $92,560.00.
