Briefing Book is a tool to build engaging, interactive, and informative briefings for executives, decision-makers, knowledge workers, and constituents. Help us envision and build the digital briefing book based on our popular ArcGIS StoryMaps platform to create briefings that include a current view of the situation or a snapshot of the past. Our vision is to provide an integrated web and mobile offering (connected or disconnected from the network), right from your tablet to a big screen.


  • Help execute vision and direction for the Briefing Book product

  • Represent and champion the Briefing Book inside and outside of Esri

  • Define product positioning, key benefits, and target customers

  • Manage and prioritize product backlog items

  • Identify areas of improvement

  • Coordinate with internal teams, such as product management/market research, marketing, and business development, to maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmap and ensure that features/functionalities match expectations of our users

  • Meet with customers to:
    • Develop an understanding of their needs and pain points
    • Gather feedback and enhancement ideas
    • Recruit beta testers and early adopters
  • Regularly communicate status, potential project risks, and recommended solutions to project stakeholder(s) and management
  • Define, track, and analyze key product usage, adoption, and performance metrics to provide strategic recommendations
  • Support trade shows such as the Esri Partner Conference, Esri Developer Summit, and the Esri User Conference and relevant customer conferences


  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with ArcGIS family of products including ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
  • Strong writing skills; capable of explaining highly-technical concepts in a concise and cogent manner
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with proven ability to deliver work, in teams or individually
  • Passionate about making a difference by breaking down internal barriers
  • Outstanding communication, listening, and presentation skills
  • Previous working experience as a product owner or a similar role
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in GIS, computer science, or a related field, depending on position level
