Overview


Sharing geographic content on the web is key to engaging with the world. We’re looking for someone who can help us design and deliver software that enables users to transform data into web maps and other web items that are accessible from anywhere.


As part of the Sharing Team within the ArcGIS Pro development team, your work will uniquely intersect many products across the platform, including ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise. You’ll help design and test the innovative capabilities that allow sharing of GIS data from desktop to beyond. This includes enhancing existing capabilities, such as sharing interactive maps or 3D building layers, and designing future capabilities that empower others to reach new audiences. You will work with a diverse group of engineers and developers to expand the power of web GIS.

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with developers and fellow product engineers to design and release sharing capabilities for ArcGIS Pro
  • Develop automated tests that ensure the quality and functionality of the software; contribute to the maintenance and monitoring of the test suite
  • Troubleshoot issues in current and past software releases
  • Work with users and industry experts to identify primary use cases and workflows

Requirements


  • 1+ years of experience using C#, Java, or C++
  • Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, geography, or related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications


  • Familiarity with the ArcGIS platform or other web mapping technologies
  • Knowledge of web formats and technologies such as JSON, REST, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
