Overview


In your role as an Associate Technical Consultant, you will act as a partner and adviser to Esri`s customers. Your primary responsibility is to use, apply and configure ArcGIS off the shelf software to satisfy customer needs. You will provide consulting support to a client`s GIS and business staff around the application of standard, repeatable implementation patterns using Esri`s ArcGIS platform. 

 

This team supports Federal and Capital Region customers. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate implementation engineers who support enterprise delivery activities, particularly focusing on standard ArcGIS Enterprise systems, data and application needs in standard or well-defined architectures.

Responsibilities


  • Provide consulting support to projects by configuring maps and apps and advising customers on web GIS best practices
  • Apply geospatial knowledge to project activities by creating, implementing, and supporting geodata workflows and geodatabase information models
  • Work closely with customers and partners to identify and design key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS Enterprise platform
  • Provide platform configuration guidance and best practices to customers
  • Independently support ArcGIS Enterprise systems, including deployment, configuration, administration and maintenance activities
  • Understand how Esri technology integrates/interfaces with customers` solutions vision
  • Pro-actively support the crafting and proposing of solutions that clarify how GIS brings business value to address critical business challenges faced by customers
  • Present complex GIS technical demonstrations to various levels of staff in a diverse range of customer organizations

Requirements


  • 2+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
  • Professional experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online)
  • Programming and scripting experience with Python and SQL
  • Experience with current technology implementation patterns, including service-oriented and cloud
  • Applicants selected will be subjected to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This could include a Top Secret Clearance (TS), a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information Clearance (TS/SCI), a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Scope (CI) and/or a Full Scope/Lifestyle
  • Bachelor`s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or STEM related field

  • Master`s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or STEM related field

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

 

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $68,640 - $114,400.
