You'll join an agile team of talented software engineers, data scientists, and technical consultants within Professional Services to deliver focused geospatial products using Esri’s industry-leading ArcGIS system that helps our customers address real-world challenges in routing and optimization, commercial applications, and the big data space.

Responsibilities


  • Be a thought leader. Help foster a sense of community among industry leaders. Advise customers regarding innovative solutions using Esri technology and content to help them make better decisions. Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions and work with customers to prepare implementation and migration strategies. 
  • Understand our customers and know their business. Be familiar with the mission and operations of our customers including knowledge of common goals and initiatives, procurement cycles, and business processes.
  • Enable our customers to be successful. Work closely with customers to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform focusing on the Big Data Analytics space. Provide configuration guidance and best practices to customers and understand how Esri’s technology enables the customer’s stated vision. Collaborate with customer IT organizations to align their technical objectives and business goals with Esri’s technology. 
  • Develop and grow business. Collaborate with Esri’s practice managers and marketing and sales teams to support business development for technology and implementation patterns with new and existing customers. Identify the value of location within customer workflows and drive substantial return on their investment in Esri's enterprise technology and services by creating outstanding proposals and winning work with strategic customers. Present complex GIS technical demonstrations to various levels of technical and non-technical staff in a diverse range of customer organizations.

Requirements


  • 2+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
  • Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analysis, or similar geospatial technology
  • Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented, micro-services, and cloud computing architecture
  • Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, and more
  • Strong, persuasive communication skills
  • Demonstrable ability to evaluate and translate a customer’s business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical project managers or customers
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills 
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Prior experience with cloud platforms such as Databricks, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps
  • Working knowledge of a source control and issue management system, preferably GitHub
  • Professional experience using one or more of the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, Scala, Node

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

 

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $68,640.00 - $114,400.00.
